Sunrayker is developing a concept of a standard layout for a solar energy farm using Sunrayker's proprietary solar energy harvester that is able to produce two forms of energy; photovoltaic solar cells convert sunlight into electricity and a thermal absorber converts sunlight into heat. This means that the combined efficiency of converting sunlight into energy is very high, approaching 60%. This high efficiency enables the Sunrayker to generate 100% more electricity than a photovoltaic array of a similar size.
