Sunrayker is developing a concept of building solar energy farms using a standard design and layout using Sunrayker's proprietary solar energy harvester that is able to produce two forms of energy; photovoltaic solar cells converts sunlight into electricity and a thermal absorber converts sunlight into heat. This means that the combined efficiency of converting sunlight into energy is very high, approaching 60%. The high efficiency enables the Sunrayker system to be able to harvest five times more energy than a photovoltaic array of a similar size.
